The authors of the looter-shooter have returned with a detailed response to community feedback.
The Destiny: Rising team has published a large address to players, admitting that the current energy system (Pinnacle Energy) needs a serious rework.
According to the developers, it was supposed to equalize the chances of all players, regardless of how much time they spend in the game. In practice, however, the system has turned into an artificial limitation of progress and has become a source of constant disputes in the community.
The authors promise to rework Pinnacle Energy, but this will take time: the updated version will appear only with the first major patch in early 2026.
In addition, the studio confirmed that Destiny Rising will receive two major updates per year. The first will add a new location, a continuation of the story campaign, and fresh challenges in Gauntlet: Onslaught mode. Players can also expect additional activities, updated seasons, and improved weapon and artifact systems.
The developers also shared plans for the coming months. In the second half of the current season, a major update for the Shifting Gates mode and three new arenas for Gauntlet: Blitz will appear.
A thematic Dawning event is planned for the winter holidays, and the third season will start in January, the main feature of which will be a new mode in the spirit of "tower defense". The team has been working on it for several months.
In addition, the developers hinted at a certain "secret update" that should especially please veterans of the series.
Between seasons, Destiny Rising will also receive temporary events. The Festival of the Lost is currently underway in the game, and a PvP event and additional activities will appear soon. In order for players to be able to plan their participation in advance, the studio intends to publish a calendar of events with exact dates every month.
