Everyone is discussing the postponement of Grand Theft Auto 6 from May 26 to November 19, 2026. Some speculate that the shift in the release date by as much as six months is somehow related to the cuts that swept through Rockstar Games, but Bloomberg journalist Jason Schreier disagrees with this theory.
According to Schreier, Take-Two announced the postponement on November 6 because that was the day the company reported its financial performance to investors. There's no need to look for a connection where there isn't one. However, the journalist is still confident that the cuts may affect the project's development in the long term and lead to another postponement due to the morale of the Rockstar Games team and the lawsuits that the dismissed employees are likely to file.
