Nintendo has released firmware version 21.0.0 for Switch and Switch 2, adding a number of improvements, visual updates, and system optimizations.
The update introduces icons above games in the HOME Menu, showing the physical or digital version, new features for virtual game cards, and advanced data transfer settings between consoles. Volume can now be adjusted in VR, and general performance improvements ensure smoother system operation.
Switch 2 adds additional features: improved GameChat, the ability to cancel all downloads, advanced accessibility and audio settings, HDR optimization, and new languages, Thai and Polish. The update emphasizes Nintendo's focus on convenience and technical optimization.
