The upcoming Jump Festa 2026 promises to be Shueisha's largest festival in history, and the creators of Chainsaw Man have prepared a special address for fans from the main stage.
Jump Festa 2026, the annual festival of the Shueisha publishing house, will take place in Japan in the second half of December, and this year it promises to be the largest in history. The event will be held on December 20-21 at the Makuhari Messe exhibition complex in Chiba.
The organizers have confirmed that all ten halls of the complex will be used for the first time, as well as three main stages: Jump Super Stage, Jump Studio, and the new Jump Station. The program includes 42 titles, including One Piece, Bleach, My Hero Academia, Demon Slayer, Dr. Stone, Jujutsu Kaisen, and Chainsaw Man.
Particular attention is focused on the latter. Studio MAPPA and Shueisha have announced a "special address" for Chainsaw Man, which will take place on December 21 on the festival's main stage. It is assumed that it may be accompanied by the long-awaited announcement of the second season of the anime, which is expected to continue the story, adapting the "International Assassins" arc.
The first season of Chainsaw Man was released in 2022 and instantly became one of the most notable titles of the decade. In the fall of 2025, the franchise returned to screens with the full-length film Chainsaw Man - The Movie: Reze Arc, which received high praise from critics and viewers and was a success at the box office. In Russia, preliminary screenings of Reze Arc will begin on November 23, and the full-fledged premiere in cinemas will take place on December 4.
If the assumptions are confirmed, the announcement of the second season may become the main event of Jump Festa 2026 and dispel the fears of fans who decided that after the release of the film, they would have to wait several more years for the sequel.
