Rockstar Games, has faced a lawsuit from the Independent Workers' Union of Great Britain (IWGB). Activists believe that the company illegally fired people for their "union activities".
The union filed a formal lawsuit after Rockstar repeatedly refused to meet for negotiations.
Despite our attempts to meet with Rockstar and resolve the issue through negotiations, the company refused and continued to dismiss union members in an unacceptable and unlawful manner.
IWGB President Alex Marshall called the situation "union busting".
The lawsuit followed protests at Rockstar's Edinburgh offices, where former studio employees waved placards demanding not only their jobs back, but also compensation.
Rockstar has not commented on the lawsuit, but IWGB activists are confident that they will be able to hold the company accountable.
