Sega has announced a new salary increase for all employees. From April 2026, the average monthly salary will increase by 10%. The decision continues the company's policy, which began in 2023, and aims to improve working conditions in the face of rising living costs.
In an official statement, the company emphasized that it is increasing both base salaries and starting salaries for new employees, "in order to create a stable and safe working environment in the face of modern social changes."
The starting rate for university graduates will increase from 300,000 to 330,000 yen per month ($1940-$2130) — approximately $193 more.
Sega will also introduce a new compensation system that will take into account the employee's role and their contribution to the company's development.
The company also intends to expand programs that help maintain a balance between work and personal life. These include "Fami+", which provides assistance in caring for children and the elderly, and "Job+", which allows combining the main job with additional projects to encourage innovation.
