Following the success of Lies of P, the Round8 Studio team from South Korea hasn't stopped. The studio has continued working on new projects, including the Overture DLC (released in June) and a sequel, announced a month and a half after the original's premiere.
Publisher Neowiz has unveiled its future plans: in addition to the Lies of P sequel, a new soulslike RPG is in development, led by Kei Lee for PC and consoles. The project is specifically mentioned in the publisher's report, confirming that it is not a continuation of Lies of P, but a standalone game.
Kei Lee previously worked at Smilegate (2016–2024), Krafton (2012–2016), and Nexon (2005–2011). He joined Round8 Studio in April 2024, so the new project is in the early stages of development. Details about the mechanics and plot are currently unknown; we'll have to wait for official announcements.
