Saber Interactive announced a few months ago that work on Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine III has already begun. It would be logical to expect that the studio would take the existing developments and speed up the cycle so that fans would quickly have a new activity after the current game, but this approach is excluded.
In an interview with Warhammer TV, Creative Director Oliver Hollis-Lake emphasized: although the team has already started creating a new part, they do not intend to rush. The studio does not want to abruptly end support for the 2024 hit, which continues to expand. According to him, it took four years to produce Space Marine 2 — and the same amount of time will be required to complete the third part.
He explained that the development of such projects requires long cycles. Space Marine 3 will be no exception.
Hollis-Lake added that the announcement of the triquel six months after the release of the second part does not mean that there are no plans for further development of Space Marine 2. The studio only wanted to show the community that the series would not be abandoned for many years after its success.
We made the announcement to, on the one hand, warn people that we will continue to work on the game, that something else will appear soon. But we are doing the same with DLC. A lot has already been created, and even more is to come. They definitely don't compete for resources.
