The long-awaited release of EFT 1.0 did not go smoothly.
The full version of Escape from Tarkov on PC was released in November. In this extraction shooter, players go on raids to various locations in search of supplies. The locations feature both AI opponents and live players who may be hostile. In case of death, the equipment will be lost.
At the appointed time, players tried to enter Escape from Tarkov, but not all those who wanted to could do so — an error began to appear when trying to launch. The problem is observed not only among users of the EFT launcher (who bought the game through the Battlestate Games website).
Those who bought EFT on Steam also sometimes cannot launch the game — the "Play" button may be inactive (this problem affected not all users of the Valve service).
The authors of Escape from Tarkov included in version 1.0 "more than 1000 fixes and improvements to all game systems."
They highlighted some key points:

- Development of sound and graphics
- Quality of life improvements and interface changes
- Non-linear story and end-game content
