Ashes of Creation is coming to Steam soon, and the test version will be available from December. The MMORPG from Intrepid Studios has been in development for almost ten years and is progressing through alpha, currently in Alpha Two phase.
The third wave of testing started in August, but a full release is still a long way off. The developers plan to go through Beta One and Beta Two to prepare the game for the full version with the necessary stability and quality.
Creative Director Steven Sharif reminded that the current alpha is not yet a finished product: "Right now, Alpha Two sometimes feels like a game, but we are refining it." On Steam, it can be purchased for $50 instead of $100 directly from Intrepid, although the premium currency Embers has been replaced with a "cosmetic cloak." The game supports cross-platform play: testers will be able to continue playing through the regular client or Steam.
Intrepid emphasizes that Ashes of Creation is a reactive world where player progress affects events and systems: settlements, economy, combat balance, and world events. The Steam Early Access release is scheduled for December 11, 2025, with a 15% discount for the first two weeks, so the game will cost $42.49 for the USA.
