Capcom's Resident Evil Requiem is just over three months away from release. But you shouldn't hope for a free demo, as was the case with Resident Evil 7, Resident Evil Village and the Resident Evil 4 remake.
Producer Masato Kumazawa said in an interview that a demo is "not planned" at the moment.
So, as for the demo, we don't have one at this stage. Not at all. We just want to focus on finishing the game. The team is doing everything possible to release the highest quality product.
The reasons for the decision are clear. The game has over a million additions to wishlists in the weeks following the announcement. But it is also worth remembering cases where the timer was hacked in the demo, allowing you to play longer than the developer-allocated time.
Resident Evil Requiem will be released on February 27, 2026 on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC and Nintendo Switch.
