The new game in the famous racing series should not be expected until 2027.
EA has officially announced that F1 fans should not expect the next game in the series in 2026. Instead, the company intends to release a paid add-on for F1 25 — with new cars, teams, drivers and rules for the 2026 season.
The next full-fledged F1 is scheduled for 2027. EA promises that it will be a "rethought and larger-scale" EA Sports F1, which will provide an "authentic and innovative Formula 1 experience" with completely new mechanics and gameplay.
The decision followed the ambiguous launch of F1 25, which was supposed to be the last under the current contract, although there was an option to extend it for two years.
Details about the release date and price of the add-on for F1 25 will be announced next year.
