Thanks to the books by Moisés Oneto and Miguel Solis, gamers from Russia will be able to get acquainted with the Sonic franchise, find out which projects from the series were canceled, and understand why the blue hedgehog became one of the most famous game characters.
The publishing house "Bombora" announced that it has acquired the rights to two books about the speedy hedgehog Sonic, written by Moisés Oneto and Miguel Solis. These books will be combined and released in Russia as a single "2 in 1" omnibus.
In the first part, the authors examine the 2D era and describe in detail how Sonic became a star, what happened behind the scenes of the creation of the first games, and what was the hero's path from Mega Drive to a short stop on Sega Saturn.
The second part is dedicated to the complex 3D era: it tells about the appearance of Sonic Adventure on Dreamcast, ambiguous SEGA decisions, canceled projects, and how the franchise was looking for its new face.
Readers can expect a detailed history of the Sonic the Hedgehog series — from high-speed pixels to bold modern experiments with the character. When exactly "Bombora" will release this omnibus, unfortunately, is not yet known.
