Against the Storm will release a major patch 1.9 "Saltworks." The update will be available on November 20 and will expand the Eremite Games city-building "roguelike".
The main innovation is the new Salt Farm, which opens after level 15 of the Citadel. It will allow you to stably obtain Salt and Insects - resources that are usually rare, but are used in many recipes.
The update includes other changes as well. The following will be added to the game:
- Two world events - Lurker and Petrified Gargoyle;
- Updated challenges on Forbidden Glades;
- New deals with Merchants;
- Encyclopedia improvements, balance and technical fixes.

The developers warned that due to major changes, all incomplete settlements will cease to exist. The game will consider them invalid, but players will be credited with Citadel resources and free Royal supplies. Cycle progress, meta-development and open buildings will be saved, but temporary events will disappear.
To allow players to complete their started settlements, a separate branch of version 1.8 will be opened on Steam for two weeks.
