Following a strong debut on Xbox, which significantly boosted sales and online presence across all platforms, players have begun discussing the possibility of Helldivers 2 appearing on yet another system. Fans are interested in whether the project will also be released on Switch 2.
In a recent episode of the Game Business Show, host Christopher Dring jokingly stated that he is waiting for the release on Nintendo's new console. Arrowhead CEO, Shams Jorjani, responded with a short phrase:
We'll see, we'll see. That's a question several levels above my pay grade.
Such an answer is usually considered a sign that the topic is being discussed, but no one is ready to reveal details.
The port to Xbox showed excellent results. This confirms that releasing on different platforms provides a significant influx of new fighters.
But the main question remains: can the Switch 2 handle the dynamics of the game, where space battles and explosions occur every second? Currently, the team is focused on optimization, reducing the size of installation files, and shortening loading times, so the studio has enough work to do.
