Lost Soul Aside was released on PS5 and PC in late August after years of anticipation, but the audience quickly lost interest in the game. The project did not meet the expectations of RPG-action fans, leading to a decline in popularity.
Despite the weak start, the team continued to work. The authors carefully studied the feedback and prepared a major update, which will be released on November 18, 2025. This is the largest patch for the game, and the following changes will appear with it:
- Added a 100-wave challenge mode with increasing difficulty and different types of enemies. All skills and weapons will be unlocked.
- Introduced the ability to skip the prologue.
- Voidrax Pathfinder mode will appear, designed to make it easier to reach the goal and solve puzzles.
- Expanded customization options: new weapon accessories, costume and armor selection.
- Reworked staged scenes. Character animations have been updated for more accurate emotion transmission, improved global lighting and shadows, and lip synchronization added in background voice acting.
- Customizable controls with the ability to completely change the button layout.
- Improved basic combat actions: rolls, double jumps, and overall weapon response. The scythe and two-handed sword have been fine-tuned to make combinations smoother.
