11 bit studios has announced that the first major DLC for The Alters will be released in 2026, and the development of Frostpunk 1886 has entered an active stage with a long-term support plan.
The developers plan to release a major DLC for The Alters at the end of the first half of 2026, President Przemysław Marszał said during a video conference. He noted that the release is expected around the anniversary of the release.
Frostpunk 1886 is entering the full production stage. The team has more than 20 people, and the total number of employees will be increased to 30 people. According to him, microtransactions are not planned now. The game will be developed for many years through DLCs, which will be released more often. The release is expected in 2027.
