Director Dan Trachtenberg commented on the possibility of creating "Alien vs. Predator 3". In an interview with The Direct, he noted that such a crossover requires time and the organic development of both series.
The journalist asked Trachtenberg if he had discussed the idea of a joint film with Disney or 20th Century Studios — especially after Federico Alvarez's joke, who recently suggested making "Alien vs. Predator" together. Trachtenberg replied that the key to a successful film is in the correct "preparation" of the universe.
According to him, "the coolest thing is to take all these ingredients and let them cook". However, he emphasized that he does not want to "pull the dish raw from the oven": it is necessary that the elements of both series "simmer, boil and reach the perfect temperature."
Trachtenberg's latest film, "Predator: Planet of Death", demonstrates this approach well. The film features the Weyland-Yutani corporation and the synthetics it created, which effectively confirms the existence of a shared universe. However, the appearance of the Predator and the Xenomorph on the same screen still requires careful preparation to make the crossover look organic.
