Modiphius to Release New Discworld Board Games
Gamers will have the opportunity to visit the city of Ankh-Morpork and other places on the back of Great A'Tuin, hunt down Samuel Vimes of the City Watch, and participate in role-playing adventures, as new Discworld board games are expected to appear in the future.
Modiphius will continue to delight fans of Terry Pratchett's work. Next year, it plans to present a series of new board games based on Discworld.
The release of Discworld: Readers Digested is expected — a reissue of the city-building board game Blue Moon City by game designer Reiner Knizia in the Discworld setting. The game is designed for 2-4 players and includes completely new additional content.
Pre-orders for it should open on the Gamefound crowdfunding platform in the first three months of 2026.
In the third or fourth quarter of 2026, the card game Kill Sam Vimes will be released. Participants will turn into hapless hitmen who have received a contract to eliminate Commander Samuel Vimes of the Ankh-Morpork City Watch, encounter traps, and meet familiar characters.
After a successful campaign on Kickstarter, which raised more than 255 million rubles, Modiphius will release a retail version of the main rulebook for the Discworld: Adventures in Ankh-Morpork tabletop role-playing game in the second quarter of 2026.
The main guide in digest format and a starter kit with a yet-to-be-published adventure will appear in various game stores.
In addition, in the second half of 2026, a campaign for the Discworld: Adventures in Lancre and Uberwald tabletop role-playing game will be launched on Kickstarter, thanks to which people will be able to visit the country of Lancre, get acquainted with witches, and explore the country of Uberwald.
