According to Alinea Analytics, Sony has earned over $1.5 billion selling its games on Steam.
Total revenue from sales of all PlayStation Studios games on Steam, according to Alinea, exceeded $1.5 billion. Of these, approximately $350 million went to Valve as a commission (30% from the first $10 million in game sales, 25% from $10–50 million, and 20% after $50 million).

Analysts note that the "novelty" effect is gradually fading. The audience that has been waiting for years for former PlayStation exclusives on PC is mostly satisfied, and there is no longer the same hype around new releases.

- God of War (2018) sold 2.5 million copies in the first 427 days, while God of War Ragnarök sold 2.5 times less in the same period
- The number of copies of Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered sold in the first 294 days was twice as high as that of Spider-Man 2 in the same period
