It seems that TGA will pass without gaming surprises from Valve.
Some Half-Life fans still hope that Valve will make an announcement in November. Some also suggest that it may participate in The Game Awards 2025.
Mike Straw from Insider Gaming recently shared information on social media, allegedly the announcement may take place in 2025:
I'm working on getting as much information as possible, and communicating with others to verify the data. We don't want to report a date or other information that we haven't been able to confirm as at least a "Valve plan."
The insider noted: he was told that the game "shouldn't" be shown at The Game Awards 2025, i.e. if there is an announcement, Valve will organize the presentation on its own.
During the podcast, Mike reminded that Valve may set "traps" with dates:
I've seen this before. They did this with Half-Life: Alyx: many people then named various dates, because [Valve] used different dates. I won't name a date until I get actual confirmation that it's real, not one of the traps.
