Over the past year, Roblox has experienced both record success and scandals. Grow a Garden broke Fortnite's record for the number of concurrent online players, with over 22 million. The platform was regularly updated, with new crops, pets, and seasonal events added.
The idea of betting has sparked a wave of criticism. Previously, Roblox attracted the attention of a Louisiana court for insufficient protection of children. In response, the company strengthened its age verification algorithms and raised the age rating for adult content from 17 to 18.
It is currently unknown whether this feature will appear on the platform and how it will work, but attention to Roblox is sure to continue.
