Activision was confident that Call of Duty just couldn't fail, but look how it turned out.

• Two years ago, Microsoft bought Activision Blizzard. Two years of Phil Spencer's leadership. And now Call of Duty is a trash brand.
• Sales have collapsed almost threefold. And Battlefield 6 became the best-selling shooter of 2025.
• It is now very difficult to be a Call of Duty fan and find the strength to defend your favorite series from the attacks of ill-wishers.
