There are high expectations surrounding The Witcher 4, but the exact release date and marketing plan are still unknown.
Many were hoping for a showing in early December, as a staged trailer was shown at last year's The Game Awards. Expectations have grown in 2025, but Michał Nowakowski, joint CEO of CD Projekt RED, has reassured fans.
I am thrilled that The Witcher 4 has been nominated in the "Most Anticipated Game" category at The Game Awards. Thank you to everyone who has already voted – your support is very important to us. We will not be showing new content at TGA this year, but we will be happy to watch the gala evening and celebrate it with you.
The decision is logical: the marketing campaign has not yet begun, and GTA 6 will be released in 2026. Entering into direct competition for audience attention now is a waste of budget.
