Detective Seeds contacted the developer via LinkedIn and received several answers. According to him, the game is "twice the size of The Last of Us Part II," which became one of Sony's most expensive projects. The studio has been developing Intergalactic for several years, and the scale of the project has grown significantly.
The source claims that the release is scheduled for 2027, but this is a "floating date" - the team is in no hurry. Localization has already been launched and is proceeding in the same steps as The Last of Us Part II: some languages are in progress, others are waiting in line. This is confirmed by Naughty Dog's vacancies.
RPG elements will become deeper: player decisions will influence the course of the story - the team wants to "open up the possibility for players to have a more deep immersion in the story." The approach differs from the cinematic format of previous games.
