Despite years of silence, Ubisoft has once again reminded that the project officially remains in production
Ubisoft published a job posting for an audio designer at Ubisoft Montpellier. The description indicates that it is about the creation of Beyond Good and Evil 2. This is the first confirmation that work is continuing after 2017, when the game was last shown at E3.
Ubisoft reminds in the announcement that Beyond Good and Evil 2 became a prequel to the 2003 original and uses the Voyager engine. Players are waiting for "space piracy in the Solar System, full of exotic locations, bright characters and secrets to be revealed alone or with friends."
The game was first announced in 2008 and is still being developed by Ubisoft Montpellier. This has already brought the publisher a kind of record: the development lasts longer than Duke Nukem Forever, which was created for 15 years.
