Nintendo has announced plans to acquire Bandai Namco Studios Singapore. The deal, subject to all necessary approvals, is expected to be completed on April 1, 2026: Nintendo will acquire 80% of the studio's shares, with the remaining shares to be bought out "after a certain period of time".
Upon completion of the deal, the studio will become a subsidiary of Nintendo and will be renamed Nintendo Studios Singapore, continuing its operations as usual.
According to Nintendo, the studio has extensive experience in creating art assets, so it will assist other Nintendo teams with their projects.
