Aniplex and Joycity's experiment with the Resident Evil formula proved successful.
The free-to-play mobile strategy Resident Evil Survival Unit, released on November 18 on iOS and Android, surpassed 2 million downloads in ten days.
At the time of publication, Survival Unit ranks 11th among the most downloaded free games on Google Play, surpassing established hits such as Geometry Dash Lite and MapleStory Idle RPG.
In some regions, the project even holds the top spot: in the USA — on Google Play, and in Japan, Great Britain, France, and Germany — on the App Store. At the same time, the game is not available in all countries, so, for example, Russian users have to look for workarounds to install it.
Survival Unit is drastically different from the classic installments of the franchise. It is a mobile strategy built around tactical battles featuring familiar Resident Evil characters. The game unites heroes from different eras, offering an alternative look at the events of the series.
In honor of reaching 2 million installations, Aniplex and Joycity announced a special gift: by entering the code 2M SURVIVORS in the game menu or on the official website, you can receive an in-game gift.
