Tripwire Interactive studio and HandyGames publishing house are preparing to release the mobile version of Maneater, a satirical action ShaRkPG where the player controls a bloodthirsty shark avenging the death of its mother. The project will be released on iOS and Android on December 15, and pre-registration is already open on Google Play.
Maneater combines elements of open-world RPG with a shark simulator: the player explores the coast of the Gulf of Mexico, hunts humans and animals, collects resources and evolves into a legendary super predator. The mobile version will offer all the content of the original: seven large regions, day and night cycles, and a full set of shark customization options, from bioelectric modules to armored plates.
The release version will be distributed according to the "try before you buy" model. Players will be able to download the game for free and complete the first stages - from a cub to a young shark - and to further evolve into a megalodon, you will need to purchase the full version. C
Judging by the information in the App Store, the price will be 500 rubles. The game takes about 4 GB, supports Russian and gamepads. The cost on Google Play has not yet been disclosed.
The original Maneater was released on Steam in 2021 and has collected more than 15 thousand reviews, of which 89% are positive. HandyGames has previously successfully ported Wreckfest and Way of the Hunter to mobile platforms, so you can be relatively calm about the quality of the port.
