In 2020, the Polish studio VARSAV Game Studios released Bee Simulator, an unusual game about the life of a bee, which was released exclusively on the Epic Games Store. The release became a notable event, so the developers worked on a sequel.
Due to a modest marketing budget, almost no one noticed the project. Sales were low, and those who bought the game on Steam didn't show much enthusiasm – the game has 69% positive reviews after 30+ opinions.
Now Bee Simulator: The Hive is available on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
In the sequel, players are offered hive expansion, battles with hornets and wasps, as well as a split-screen co-op.
