Sony has released a new system update for PlayStation 5 without prior announcement.
The update does not add any new functionality; the official notes only mention standard wording:
- Improved messaging system and usability on some screens
- Improved system stability and performance
According to player feedback, one of the real fixed problems is the correct display of messages as "read" - previously, many noticed that notifications remained unread even after opening.
Typically, such sudden updates carry various security improvements from Sony's own servers. Of course, the company will not advertise this, limiting itself to standard wording about improving stability and performance.
