This refers to a teleporter that is sold for real money in Once Human.
The developers of the survival game Once Human have been accused of stealing a model from No Man's Sky.
User Koyonaku compared the Sky King cosmetic item from Once Human with the teleporter module from No Man's Sky.
In Once Human, this item is only available as a top reward in the premium Lightforge Lootcrate loot box, for which players have to pay real money. In No Man's Sky, the teleporter can be obtained for free as you progress through the game.
The post gained popularity and reached Hello Games founder Sean Murray, who reacted to the situation with humor.
They messed up. We forgot to optimize the rivet detail.
Murray attached a screenshot of the model from the NMS editor, which shows that the rivets on the teleporter have excessively high detail — thousands of polygons instead of an optimized version. Thus, if the model is indeed stolen, then performance in Once Human may also suffer.
