In the latest episode of the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast, host Mike Shaw reported that, according to his sources, internal EA messages indicate that Dead Space is currently "frozen".
According to my information, Dead Space is "frozen", and with the current management, the company does not plan to resume the series.
Although there is no official confirmation from EA, Shaw's information coincides with the decision to transfer the heads of the Dead Space remake and other Motive Studio employees to the Criterion, DICE, and Ripple Effect teams to work on Battlefield 6.
Shaw also noted that some employees who worked on Dead Space hope that a new owner of the company may consider selling the franchise.
Co-host Tom Henderson recalled that franchise co-creator Glen Schofield once tried to promote Dead Space 4, but unsuccessfully.
Will Dead Space sell 12–15 million copies?
By asking this question, Henderson implies that large costs will have to be recouped with high sales, but is the community ready to buy that many copies? Apparently, EA thinks not.
