Bethesda head Todd Howard stated in an interview with Eurogamer that a television adaptation of The Elder Scrolls is "not out of the question," but its appearance in the foreseeable future is unlikely.

"I will say, Fallout took about a decade. After Fallout 3, people were asking, wouldn't this make a movie or a TV show, and we were very hesitant. But, who knows… I think the impact of the show on Fallout as a franchise has been bigger than I anticipated, so you involuntarily think – maybe there is a way? But today – nothing. So I'm ready to say 'no' for another ten years."

According to Howard, the success of the "Fallout" series on Amazon Prime Video exceeded Bethesda's expectations and significantly increased interest in the franchise. However, he believes that Fallout was initially better suited for adaptation because "this universe has more that it can tell."

The premiere of the second season of "Fallout" will take place on December 17, with new episodes being released weekly.
