Eidos Montréal's new project has reportedly been in development since 2019.
According to journalist and reliable insider Tom Henderson, Eidos Montréal, despite the cuts, continues to actively work on a new game codenamed P11. Allegedly, it will be an open-world adventure action game, scheduled for release in 2026. The game is being developed by the team that worked on Shadow of the Tomb Raider.
According to Henderson, the recent wave of layoffs at the studio is related to the game, which has been in development since 2019. Since the work on the basic concept and various systems has already been completed, Eidos Montréal is laying off people whose services are no longer needed.
It is possible that the new game will be presented as part of the upcoming The Game Awards 2025.
