Game director of the Final Fantasy VII trilogy, Naoki Hamaguchi, shared a detailed report on the progress of the third part in a new interview.
At the moment, the main gameplay part is almost completed, and we are in the stage of grinding and polishing. Frankly, I really want everyone to play it as soon as possible, but it must first be brought to mind.
Hamaguchi also recalled that from the very beginning, the team did not plan to make all three parts similar to each other: the first part defined what "remake" means, the second expanded the formula to an open world, and the third will take gameplay and scope to a whole new level.
