The official announcement is likely to take place at The Game Awards 2025.
The mysterious hellish statue, installed by Jeff Keighley in the Mojave Desert and teasing everyone since the end of November, appears to be related to a new game in the Divinity franchise from Larian Studios.
MP1st was the first to notice three fresh trademark applications in Europe, filed on Tuesday. One of them is under the name Divinity, with a logo and stylized symbols that perfectly match the image on top of the statue. The other two marks include similar icons: one with a figure tangled in a web, and the second is an almost exact copy of the symbol from the statue. All applications are linked by a common representative — the law firm IHDE & Partner Rechtsanwalte, which has already worked with Larian on their European trademarks.
The Divinity application covers computer and video games, books, clothing, board games and other "entertainment services". Although the owner is not explicitly stated, the coincidences are too obvious to be accidental.
