The British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) has unveiled the longlists for the BAFTA Games Awards 2026. A total of 64 games out of 255 released between November 16, 2024, and November 14, 2025 (excluding the 'Best Evolving Game' category), have been recognized in 17 nominations. The selection was made by over 1,700 BAFTA members — experienced professionals in the gaming industry.
Voting for nominations in the 'Best Game' and 'Best British Game' categories will begin in February 2026 among BAFTA members, while specialized juries will vote for the remaining categories. The winners will be announced at the ceremony on April 17, 2026.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 leads with 17 nominations, followed by Dispatch with 11 nominations, and Death Stranding 2: On The Beach rounds out the top three with 10 nominations. Ghost of Yotei, Hades II, and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle each received 9 nominations, while Split Fiction — 8 nominations.
