Capcom has released the official trailer, screenshots, and full details for the fourth free update to Monster Hunter Wilds, which will be the largest since the game's release.
The ancient dragon Gogmazios will appear in the game. Hunting it will become available after completing the main story mission "A First Cry." After the first completion of the special assignment, a permanent quest will open for repeated sorties.
Players will be able to take Nadia, Knightmist, and Griffin with them on the hunt as helpers.
The update will also feature an armor upgrade system, available to hunters of rank 100 and above, which removes restrictions on sphere upgrades and enhances decoration slots on armor of level 5 and 6 rarity.
The second major challenge will be the arch-tempered Jhen Mohran. Permanent quests with him will appear from December 24, and limited-time challenges from January 7.
From January 19 to January 14, the seasonal event Festival of Accord: Lumenhymn will take place — a winter festival with New Year's decorations for the hub, special dishes, gestures, camp decorations, and bonuses.
In addition, the update will improve game performance on all platforms.
