Developers of the best games also pay for tickets: Sandfall Interactive, which created Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, bought tickets for $300 so the team could attend. Other studios face the fact that only part of the team gets free seats, and the rest pay full price, sometimes up to $1000.
Ticket sales start before the announcement of nominations. Journalists and fans wishing to visit the Peacock Theater pay from $58 to $1000 for seats, with available sectors varying significantly in price.
Despite the prestige of TGA, the organization raises questions. Many developers accept the conditions for the sake of status and attention to the nomination, but if the situation does not change, the show may turn into an event only for large studios.
