Former Xbox Head Supports Call of Duty and Believes in Black Ops 7 Improvements
Former Blizzard President and Xbox Vice President Mike Ybarra has supported the Call of Duty team, despite his past predictions that Battlefield 6 could completely dominate and hinder the success of Black Ops 7.
Black Ops 7 has received mixed reviews from critics and players. On Metacritic, the game scored 67 points, a noticeable drop for the series. In response, Activision announced plans to improve the game and change its release strategy.
Ybarra noted that competition with Battlefield 6 could benefit Call of Duty, motivating the team to implement key improvements that players are waiting for.
Competition is good. I'm rooting for the Call of Duty team to come back with twice the strength-for the players and their team. They work incredibly hard and are very talented.
Thanks to Battlefield, we will get a better quality Call of Duty
Studios Treyarch and Raven Software have promised that current and future installments in the series will be regularly updated. They "won't rest until Black Ops 7 takes its place among the best games in the Black Ops series."
