At The Game Awards 2025, Crystal Dynamics and Amazon Games presented two new games in the Tomb Raider universe: Tomb Raider: Catalyst and Tomb Raider Legacy of Atlantis.
Tomb Raider: Catalyst is a continuation of the main series. The game is set in Northern India after a mythical cataclysm that awakened ancient secrets and the forces guarding them. The most famous treasure hunters from around the world rush to the region, and Lara must get ahead of them, uncover the truth, and prevent this power from being used for evil.
Tomb Raider: Catalyst is being created on Unreal Engine 5 and, according to the developers, will have the largest open world in the history of the series. The release is scheduled for 2027 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
Before that, in 2026, Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis will be released. This is a remake of the first Tomb Raider from 1996, which is being developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with the Polish studio Flying Wild Hog, also on Unreal Engine 5. The game will be released on the same platforms: PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
