The Forest series will soon celebrate its 10th anniversary, and Endnight Games chose The Game Awards to present an unexpected project.
It's only been a year since the release of Sons of the Forest, and the studio has already shown Forest 3. The logo looks like a work in progress, hinting at an early stage of development.
The main change is the setting. This time, players will not go to the usual forest or island, but to another planet. The authors describe the new environment as "something more frightening than a forest full of cannibals or other creatures."
The gameplay footage showed a number of futuristic technologies, a device resembling a shoulder crane, as well as new dangerous locations.
Release date has not yet been announced.
