At The Game Awards, Wildlight Entertainment presented Highguard, a fantasy shooter from the creators of Titanfall and Apex Legends. The game will be released on January 26, 2026 on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC.
Players control Guardians who can fight with spells and weapons. The plot focuses on the struggle with other Guardians for the Shieldbreaker, which is used to capture enemy territory. Players will not only have to break the base shield, but also summon a giant siege weapon before attacking.
Highguard is positioned as a "PvP raid shooter" without evacuation mechanics. Characters can run along walls, destroy obstacles to find new paths, and use unique skills - from throwing knives to tearing out the hearts of opponents. The game will also feature rideable animals for quick movement between targets.
Details about Highguard will appear in the coming weeks.
