Especially for gamers who love racing games and driving simulators, GameSir plans to release a device codenamed Swift Drive | Turbo Drive in the future, which is a hybrid of a steering wheel and a gamepad.
GameSir has posted a trailer of an unusual controller codenamed Swift Drive | Turbo Drive. Initially, it was a school project by a user who wanted to create a compact gamepad with a steering wheel and a feedback system that conveys the feeling of real car control.
In the prototype, the device uses a custom low-speed brushless motor with high efficiency (constant torque — 0.2 N·m, peak — 0.4 N·m). The controller is capable of operating wirelessly. A 24-bit magnetic encoder is also installed.
It is equipped with two Hall effect joysticks, one switch, four analog buttons, and two rear paddles. The triggers support vibration, and RGB indication displays the RPM. Swift Drive is recognized as a DInput steering wheel, and an XInput mode is also available, like on a gamepad.
In addition, on reddit, the device developer published a video demonstrating the prototype. The full presentation of Swift Drive will take place at the CES 2026 consumer electronics show, which will be held in Las Vegas from January 6 to 9.
The creator of the project believes that the novelty will cost about $150 (approximately 12,000 rubles).
