Next year, Russian-speaking fans of the "Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition" board strategy game will be able to explore new planets, meet five factions, and play the "Fall of the Twilight" mode thanks to the "Grimdark Frontier" expansion.
The Hobby World publishing house has opened pre-orders for the "Grimdark Frontier" expansion for the "Twilight Imperium: Fourth Edition" board game on the CrowdRepublic crowdfunding platform.
Currently, it can be purchased for 10,390 rubles, the "Twilight Imperium" board game for 13,990 rubles, a set with the base game and two expansions for 33,490 rubles, and the "Twilight Imperium: Prophecy of Kings" expansion for 3,390 rubles. The books "Necropolis of the Empire", "Unknown Puppeteers" and "Shattered Abyss" are sold for 540 rubles each.
Thanks to the sponsors, the team has already raised 3,509,036 rubles, which means that the super goal has been achieved. The first 600 participants who pre-order "Grimdark Frontier" separately or as part of a set will receive a limited edition double-sided metal keychain with a relief pattern as a gift.
Thanks to the "Grimdark Frontier" expansion, it will be possible to evaluate new legendary planets, five new factions, the Council Kellers, neutral fleets, the Rift – a special area of space, galactic events, a separate "Fall of the Twilight" mode and many other changes.
This expansion should reach buyers in April 2026.
