Leon was shown in the new Resident Evil Requiem trailer. Many fans of the Capcom horror series are happy that one of the most recognizable and popular characters will return in the new game. Many, but not all.
A certain group of player-activists feels cheated, because Capcom initially positioned Grace as the main character, and now, with Leon's return, the girl will be pushed into the background.
Leon will overshadow Grace — and that sucks. Grace was the main character, but now all the attention will go to Leon, as the favorite.
I love Leon, but I hope Grace doesn't just become a "damsel in distress" that he saves, and turns out to be a strong, well-written character.
Some theorize that Capcom foresaw this reaction and therefore did not reveal Leon in early trailers and marketing.
