Almost the entire Dambuster Studios team is involved in developing the new game.
Dambuster Studios is fully focused on creating Dead Island 3. According to the company's new financial report, all resources of the British studio are directed to the third part of the zombie action game.
The report indicates that after the release of Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition in October 2024, Dambuster Studios' main project is Dead Island 3. All developers are already working on the game, and after the completion of Dead Island 2 ports to Luna and Mac platforms, the entire testing team (QA) will join the project. As of March 2025, the studio in Nottingham had 194 employees, 93% of whom are involved in development.
Parts of the game are already in the early stages of production: active work is underway on the design of features, characters, world, and plot. The projected release window is the first or second quarter of 2028.
