The second season of the series started with a perfect rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
The second season of the Fallout series has been released on Prime Video. On the day of the premiere, the show started with a perfect rating of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes, making the sequel one of the highest rated series of the year at the start.
The second season picks up the events of the first chapter's finale and moves the action to New Vegas, one of the key regions of the Fallout universe. Lucy MacLean and the Ghoul embark on a journey through the Mojave Desert, and the narrative focuses more and more on the confrontation between factions and the struggle for control over the ruins of the old world. The authors place greater emphasis on political conflicts, the consequences of choice, and the internal logic of the world.
Critics also note a darker tone, increased scale and confident work with the lore. Positive reviews were given to action scenes, humor and interaction of key characters, as well as the visual embodiment of New Vegas. At the same time, some reviewers point to the overload of storylines and the more "fan" character of the season, which may alienate viewers who are not familiar with the games.
The second season of Fallout has eight episodes. Unlike the first season, Prime Video abandoned the full release: only the first episode is available on the day of the premiere, and new episodes will be released once a week. The season finale is scheduled for February 4.
