Producer Motoi Okamoto is also considering Latin America, Italy, or South Korea.
In a new interview, Silent Hill producer Motoi Okamoto said that he is considering several specific locations for the next games. At first, he refused to reveal details, but then shared some ideas.
The Japanese location of Silent Hill f allowed for a deep dive into local folklore and its connection to horror elements. Okamoto noted that for future projects, the team is looking at other regions of Asia, Central and South America, as well as countries like Russia and Italy.
We believe that we can apply a similar approach to other cultures around the world. For example, in Central or South America, you can use local shamanistic beliefs and connect them to the plot. But we will also broaden our horizons and look at Russia, Italy, or South Korea — all of these regions have unique belief systems.
